Michelle Chrastil, Ma LPC
Michelle Chrastil is our Director of Counseling Services and the owner of Blue Moon Counseling. Michelle has worked with children and families for over 10 years providing counseling services with great ability to impact change. She is also the owner of Blue Moon Counseling. As the owner, Michelle always is looking to hire team members with personalities that bring warmth and comfort to clients thus building strong therapeutic trusting relationships to help clients change.
She began Blue Moon Counseling, a group practice of professionals, after she experienced her own successful working relationships at previous positions working for large private practices. Through this group practice model, she was able to gain experience and build her private practice caseload while being part of a team environment. Being a part of a team allowed her, at the beginning of her career, to build confidence and to gain important experience which improved her skills greatly. Once Michelle’s private practice became too full and her reputation led to an overflow of client referrals, she took the leap of faith and expanded to Blue Moon Counseling where she could finally hire her own great team. Blue Moon Counseling continues to grow and expand. Now our clients benefit from this great team and can pick from a variety of services to meet their own individual and family needs thus meeting therapy goals more quickly. Although Michelle’s caseload is typically full and does not accept new clients, previous clients have described her as being warm, transparent, dedicated, and greatly impactful.

Eric Ahn – VP of Business Development
Eric Ahn is the Co-Owner & Vice President of Business Development for Blue Moon Counseling. As the Vice President of Business Development, he oversees the company growth, profitability and total enterprise value by enhancing culture, infrastructure and systems throughout the company. He has an uncommon ability to build and lead high-performing teams through collaboration and transparency and by aligning, engaging and motivating every level of his team.
Eric was previously a District Manager for Towne Park where he oversaw the financial & service performance of multiple locations (including 1500+ associates) and managed many high-level projects including an acquisition of over 50 locations in Salt Lake City, UT. Eric has worked in many markets from Miami, FL to Breckenridge, CO giving him broad experience with varying regional/geographic challenges and demographics.
Before joining Towne Park, Eric was with OppenheimerFunds in Centennial, CO. There he led a large team and worked with retail accounts, retirement funds, 529 products and mutual funds.
Eric’s ability to drive results, eagerness to better himself both professionally and personally while clearly influencing those around him truly excites Blue Moon Counseling for what the future holds! His passion to help children and families and support the community is why he is so thrilled to be a part of Blue Moon Counseling!
Sara Moser – Program Director & Intern Child and Family Therapist
Sara works with trauma resolution in all ages integrating the physical body with a mindfulness focus, yoga systems, and Somatic Experiencing® (SE). Sara believes that having a focus on both the mind and body in our therapeutic work can help expand our capacity to release and resolve trauma. She is currently completing The Center for Trauma and Embodiment’s Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator Training (TCTSY). Sara is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in training, at the Advanced Level with the Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Institute and will be completing her Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University in the Spring of 2019. Sara welcomes all that you are and is here to support, acknowledge, and understand where you have been and help cultivate the path for where you want to go.
Sara Curcio, MT-BC
Sara is our team Music therapist. She offers music therapy services to our clients on both the CLLI and the CES/SLS/DD waivers. She also accepts private pay clients and she is an active participant in offering Music Therapy at some of our RT-Parties. Sara has worked with Michelle for many years as they worked together as part of a team before Blue Moon Counseling. They enjoy working together to offer large scale groups such as their previous Fairies and Dragons RT-Party, and their upcoming Skate City RT-Party. Sara is smart, energetic, talented and excellent with children and anyone who has a disability. Her clients seem to follow her anywhere and she has a loyal fan base.
Adam Fyler, MA, LPCC, MT-BC
Adam offers both counseling and music therapy services at Blue Moon Counseling. He is a Board Certified Music Therapist and throughout the past 10 years, he has provided music therapy and social services to at-risk children and adolescents in the residential setting as well as elders and other residents in long-term health care. He broadened his scope of practice by completing a Master of Arts degree in Couple and Family Counseling and uses both modalities to help people reach their full potentials. Adam offers counseling to individuals, couples, and families in addition to music therapy services to clients on both the CLLI and the CES/SLS/DD waivers.
Katherine “Lita” Phillips, M.A., LPC 6251
Katherine “Lita” Phillips, M.A., LPC 6251 has a Master’s of Counseling Psychology from Naropa Unversity in Boulder. She uses a nonjudgmental kindness and compassion in her meeting with clients. Lita has creative therapeutic techniques that encourage a safe exploration of emotional complexities with diverse families , children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. She specializes in trauma resolution from abuse recovery to grief and loss as well as at risk behavior concerns, parenting challenges, and school issues.
Lita’s advocacy and genuine interest in people from all walks of life allows her to implement her skills and belief in the therapeutic process as a vehicle for health, wholeness and choice. This ability has been developed through her 23 years as a teacher in the Cherry Creek Schools and 18 years as a family, play, teen and adult therapist.
Lita looks forward to being a vehicle for healing in the lives of current and future clients.
